parafacial with a single row of strong proclinate setae and setulae; back of head strongly convex; scutum lacking presutural acrostichal setae; lateral scutellar setae absent; anatergite bare below lower calypter; costal spine 2-4 times as long as crossvein R-M; second costal section with fine setulae ventrally; R4+5 setose from base to beyond crossvein R-M; wing cell r4+s open or at most with a minute petiole; abdominal syntergite 1+2 usually with a row of marginal setae (not clearly differentiated only in some female); abdominal tergites 3 and 4 with or without median discal setae
